Quick Guide to Gems
Like all games, gems are a premium currency that should be SAVED. In this section, I will show you the things that are okay to spend your gems on.
As the game progresses, new units will be released, and these new units always make the meta. Only those tend to retain their value. There are two types of new units – standard limited and true limited.
Standard limited and true limited characters are featured on limited event banners. This is an example of the limited event banner and a true limited unit.
Summon Event Breakdown:
- The hard pity for pulling one copy is 120 (most of the time you’ll get it within 100-120)
- The duration of each event is 14 days (2 weeks)
- Every day, you are given one free pull
- Every day, you are entitled to 2×10 pulls (1×10 pulls cost 2700 gems)
- As a F2P player, you are able to summon 21 pulls a day (total cost 5400 gems)
- If you were to use all 21 pulls every day, i.e., 14 days x 21 pulls = 294 pulls
Note: 294 pulls can only guarantee you 2 copies; you could get 3 if you are lucky (I did manage to pull 4 copies by using the max number of pulls before, was lucky). To play it safe, prepare 240 pulls worth of gems = 64,800 gems (should be lower, I didn’t include the 14 free pulls) to guarantee 2 copies of a character.
These limited event banners use gems ONLY, so don’t bother saving your golden tickets.
On the top right of the pic (below the gems), you can see a sort of leaderboard ranking thing. Every limited summon event banner will keep track of each player’s total number of pulls done throughout the event. The most number of summons (fattest whale ever) gets the best reward, and the rewards drop the lower down the ranking you are. Sometimes, the first reward is an L/D selector, sometimes it’s 100 skin fragments; it varies each time.
Note for whales (peasants keep away!): You can purchase extra pulls with money. The fattest pack you can buy is 32 pulls + 1 copy of the featured unit for 100 USD.
I cannot confirm this for global, but for CN, all new standard/true limited units are given 1 free copy upon their debut (you must log in consecutively to collect). You guys might (?) get a free copy. I don’t know, do not come for me if global doesn’t get a free copy.
As stated previously, there are “standard limited” and “true limited” units that will be featured through the limited event banner. The limited event banner will frequently rotate between these units.
After the “standard limited” units first debut in the summon event, they will be added to the mileage shop for 70 mileage, and can be purchasable anytime.
On the other hand, “true limited” units will never be added, and can only be obtained through the recurring summon event. True limited units are ALWAYS better, and they will never fall off in any way.
Every week, there will also be a standard summoning event with the same mechanics. I would NOT advise pulling on this banner except for Themis until she gets on rotation. Every week, the featured units will rotate, so wait until it’s Themis’ turn if you want to pull for her.
Gem Microtransactions That Are Worth It to Further Your Level:
- This garden thing is the best place to gather more resources to upgrade your units. You can use gems for double claim. Tip – try to maximize your level till the bottleneck before claiming, as the higher level you are, the more resources given.
- In the daily shop, the only thing worth gems is the faction crystal. However, they are incredibly expensive, not recommended for F2P players to purchase.
- In the mystery shop, the ticked items are the items that I will buy.
- You are given 2 chances to claim 2 hours of idle rewards with gems. This is the most value for gems for starters as you guys need to level up fast.
- When you level up, you will unlock level packs. Some of them are worth it and give much-needed resources. Just take your pick and get the ones you need.
Do Not Spend Gems on Gold Tickets!
Gold tickets are given in abundance + they only summon fodders (low chance for l/d or myth).
