Project QT – Guide on Who to Prioritize for the Talent Tree Passive

Talent Tree Passive and Prioritizing

Basics

What are talent trees?

Talent trees are a set of stat boosts and a passive skill for all year 3 characters that is usable once said character reaches level 65. They however are a very long grind, taking 2000 primeval spirits for the outer ring, 2400 club spirits for the inner, and over 3000 pure spirits to max the talent itself. You can get these spirits through boss raids, explores, secret store, and your credit card.

Still, maxing a talent tree can take months, so for a lot of characters, it’s better to just buy the primeval and club spirits and just grab the stats rather than focus on the talents themselves. However, some girls’ talents are genuinely useful if not game changing, so this guide will focus on them.

Who to focus on for boss raids

If you want to go the boss raid path first instead of pvp, then your goal should be to get the highest damage reward, and some girls make this way easier than others. Juliana/Clara pretty much make the 1 million damage possible, negating the stun for 3 characters. And at level 6, they start increasing their respective elemental dmg for 3 girls for up to 10%.

Freya and Una would be next, as they pretty much do the same thing but for 2 characters (and their respective bosses don’t stun you as hard as juliana’s/clara’s). This being said, it is recommended to NOT get their level 10 passive unless you really like them, as this is a very long grind and you should also focus on some of your pvp girls as well. Level 5 is fine to stop at for the boss raid focused girls, only go further if you really want the slight dmg boost.

Who to focus for pvp

I’ll do this section by who are the girls you want to actually max their talent first, then other girls who have good talents but aren’t priority #1.

Arts

Camille

Arguably the best talent in the game, you want this one maxed if you are planning on using Camille for the long run. 25% damage reduction for 2 arts, 10% more hp, and 10% more dmg to lightning combined makes a really nasty combo.

Violet

If you are using Violet, make sure to get this to at least level 7 ASAP. Invalidating burn for 2 water girls is extremely stupid, and paired with Christmas Devils, pretty much makes one of the best meta units (giselle) useless. She also gets 20% more hp and 15% recovery, but these are an afterthought compared to the burn negation.

Mina

Would consider this the next best after the previous 2. A 10% boost in attack, 10% dmg to water enemies, and 15% boost in hp makes this a solid choice for maxing a talent, just not a priority before camille/violet.

Honourable mentions

Giselle, Elva, Saika – All of these are good but not so much as the previous 3. All of these are still ok first choices as the talents are still good. Giselle gets 20% more hp, 5% more attack, and a 5% dodge at max, though given the low dodge chance, this isn’t a priority. Elva gets a flat boost in dmg up to 15%, though her damage is still lower than the above arts. Saika boosts literature character’s recovery by 20% and attack by 10%, which is really powerful in certain comps but many of the literature girls outside of heal teams either don’t make use of their recovery or are just straight up bad, holding this talent back from being top tier.

Sports

Alizee

Honestly the best sports passive by a longshot. The 15% increased recovery for arts is negligible (unless in some weird saika heal team comp), but the 15% attack boost for arts is massive, so if you are using alizee, max this one out.

Grace / Winni

Boosts attack and HP of 2 characters by 10%. This is good but not as good as alizee’s that specifically focuses on arts, while this is seemingly random. Still, the 2nd best choice for sports.

Esther

A flat 25% hp increase for a tank is extremely useful, also lightning dmg decreased for 2 lightning units (only 10% though). Level this if you want to use Esther.

Haley

Flat 12% HP boost. Noticeably worse than Esther’s but hey, more hp for a tank is good.

Margaret

Flat 20% recovery boost. Really only useful for her awakening passive

Science

Halloween Witches & Lilian & Ruby

Literally the exact same passive as Alizee, except that halloween witches are better for heal teams instead of regular teams. HW can pair nicely with saika’s passive however in a heal team comp.

Clara

Now this one is funny. The 10% wind boost is again negligible, though better than Alberta’s since it’s for 3 girls. Speaking of Alberta, Clara has the hilarious ability of completely negating paralysis for said 3 wind girls for up to 40 rounds.

You don’t even need to max this one out, level 1 is fine since it’s for 18 rounds, lasting more than most regular pvp matches go. And if you’re dealing with an alberta on defense, you only need 2 wind girls to make alberta almost completely useless. She is first choice material for sure if you don’t want to hard commit to a level 10 passive and you really want to make Alberta lovers mald.

Alberta Update

The 10% lightning boost for 2 characters is pretty negligible, but invalidating damage increase taken for 2 lightning girls for 16 rounds seems” rather strong. Sadly it does not work against awakening passives like Astarte, so her talent is not good.

Literatures

Christina

Literally the same exact passive as Grace. It’s just that almost every other passive for lits are pretty bad, so if you were going to choose one then this is your best bet.

Caroline/Evelyn/Venus

The heal team staples. All a 10% reduction in damage, which despite the low value do pair nicely with each other, but venus and evelyn’s are for 2 character’s of their respective element. So out of the 3, Caroline is the best choice since it’s for 2 literature characters instead of elemental.

Vivian Update

Same exact passive as Alberta except for wind. Looks good, but sadly also is not for the same reason.

TL;DR

If you are going for the talents for pvp, for arts focus on Camille first, then Mina, then Giselle/Elva/Saika, Violet to pair with CD and negate Giselle on attack. For sports, Alizee then Grace/Winni/Esther, then Haley/Margaret. Science is Halloween Witches, then Alberta/Clara. And Literatures Are Christina, then Caroline/Venus/Evelyn or Vivian.
