PvP Team Order Explanation
Your units Arena skills have a cooldown value (check in the units stat overview page). This determines how you want to order your teams, as the cooldown determines after how many rounds a skill can activate.
In general you want all your units skills to activate ASAP, there are a few exceptions on some units.
Whether you are attacker or defender has no influence over on what rounds skills fire.
So, How Does It Work?
You have in your team slots 1-4, that will cycle through turns/rounds.
Slots:
- 1 2 3 4
Rounds:
- 1 2 3 4
- 5 6 7 8
- 9 10 11 12
- …etc
If a unit has a skill cooldown of 7, the earliest round the skill can fire on is turn 8. So to not delay the skill firing you need to place the unit in slot 4.
A CD5 unit goes in slot 2, since round 6 is the earliest the skill can fire etc.
General Tips
Keep in mind there are always exceptions, check your individual units skill cooldowns always
- Sports units in general have a cooldown of 5, so they fit best in slot 2. The most notable exception is Winni; while she is standard CD5, since her skill dodges dodges regular attacks you want to delay her skill as much as possible so that it activates after your opponent has used their skills. Amy doesn’t really matter where placed, she can be used as filler on any position. Christmas Devils are CD6, Haley and Zoey are CD7.
- Science units generally ar CD6, so you mostly want them placed in slot 3. Notable exception: Halloween Witches with CD5
- Art units generally are CD7, so you want to place them in Slot 1 or 4. Most notable exception: Summer Ladies with CD5. Iris with CD6.
- Literature units generally are CD6. Since you normally want to have multiple literature units on the same team to build an effective heal team, you delay the ones where you don’t think you need their skill as early as others.
