Tips to Use Allies
Don’t let yourself be fooled and think the strongest pair of mythic allies will bring you victory every single time. Strategize and synergize your team for optimal effects!
- If you’re running lots of fire related skills, try out Vivet & Sophia to maximize your dmg output with their buffs! Same goes for the other elements, like for water with Inabelle letting Aisha and you dish out big numbers!
- Allies have different uses, which is a concept thats necessary to grasp when making a suitable team for what you intend to do. Felino shines in boss battles with his single dmg and debuffs, but lacks the AOE utility needed to perform in gamemodes like Infinite Pot or Marmot. In such cases, allies with a more AOE suited skillset like Ellis, Aisha or Helena will be preferable to allies like Felino in this scenario.
Of course, allies arent the be all, end all of deciding factors in soul strike, so no need to worry if you deem your lineup suboptimal. Make the most of what you can, and you’ll be on the right track garnering more and more allies along your journey. Happy grinding!
When using allies there are two major ways to maximize them, offensively and defensively. In general, allies benefit from the player’s stats with some exceptions such as skill dmg.
Offensive allies tip
When utilizing allies for offense, to make them deal more damage you would have to increase your “ally dmg” on your character’s stat page. Allies also do not benefit from your “skill damage” stat which would explain why allies feel weak.
Defensive allies tip
This strategy is utilizing allies for a more support role. Their main role is to tank for your character and provide buffs. This strategy does not need for you to get “ally damage” high.
Some notable support allies:
- Echo (atk and aspd buff
- Vanessa SW exlusive (atk buff and crit dmg buff)
- Delia (shields)
Misc. Tips
- Allies basic attack will be based on their elements (it’s not just for their skills!).
- Be sure to use the correct relics to improve your allies damage, such as Ares Insignia or Titan’s Bracelet.
- Collab allies (limited) are usually strong, so try to collect those allies to make your team stronger. (They don’t have a unique effect!).
- Allied builds are usually not for newbies, but the allied builds are useful for the Guild Dungeon or Abyss Tower, because there is a gimmick that greatly reduces your character’s damage
- Try to level up every ally, because their unique effect will still be applied to your character, even when they are not equipped.
- Allies like Echo, who improve damage can be used for additional damage. (Buff duration can improve his duration for your character as well!).
- Use ally to improve your character damage, such as Vivet that can reduce the enemy Fire Res.
- Ally build is strong in late game, when the no ally build has reached the ceiling.
- For free to play (f2p) player, you should play Tyrant Sheath build (no ally). But when you do this, you will still need to collect every ally and level them up to their maximum.
- You can gain more power by completing the Ally titles for each ally (defeat 5000 enemies).
- For guild takeover, it is recommended that you use Ally build.
- Ancient Beast Hide will affect your characters and allies.
- Ally draw cost a lot of ethers, it is not recommended to draw ally with ethers if you are a free to play player.
- You can test ally damage in the orcish punch bag dungeon, and turn off your character’s auto battle, to see which ally deals the most damage.
- Since ally damage depends on your character attack, pets will also increase your ally damage, so use the same element/synergy.
