Ethics: Militarist, Materialist, Egalitarian (Swap Ega with Xenophobe if you’re going for early conquest then swap to Egalitarian later).
Starting Civics: Sovereign Guardianship, Masterful Crafters.
Midgame Civics: SG, Relentless Industrialist, Beacon of liberty.
Traditions: Prosperity (optional), Diplomacy (needed to create a Hegemony Federation), Supremacy, Expansion, Psionics, Domination, Harmony.

Ascension Perks:

Imperial Prerogative.
Mastery of nature.
Become the Crisis (Core component, do not skip! do not research Unseen ripples situation until you are ready to take on Fallen Empires).
Mind over matter.
Arcology Project. After this you are free to pick any AP.

After you have acquired all the core components, our Empire build offers:

Almost Zero empire size from pops.
No more Xenos clogging your species pool.
Growth speed is now obsolete.
