Tactical Breach Wizards – How to Damage Liv (Ending Spoilers)

How to Damage Liv During the Final Encounter

When fighting Liv at the end, you can’t hurt her directly with most attacks. She switches places with one of your team members, who then gets hurt instead. To defeat her clones, you need to find ways to damage her while she’s switching places.

One way to do this is by using Zan’s predictive shot. This attack only fires when an enemy moves in front of it. You can see which of your team members Liv will switch with when you attack her. So, aim a predictive shot at that person and then attack Liv with someone else on the same turn. This will make Liv switch places and immediately get hit by the predictive shot.

Jen’s Gale Grenade is another useful tool. It affects an area, so you can hit both Liv and the character she plans to switch with in the same action if they’re close to each other. If you position it right, you can make sure that after the switch, Liv will be knocked into a wall, into a trap, into a Predictive Shot, or even off the roof. There’s actually an achievement for knocking the final Liv off the roof after she’s used up all her clones.

Rion’s Spore Bomb can be effective too. By this point in the game, you’ll have the upgrade that makes it only damage enemies, not allies caught in the blast. So if Liv and her switch target are within a 3 tile radius, you can hit both of them with the Spore Bomb and only damage Liv.

Jen’s Chain Lightning is a bit different. It doesn’t do damage directly, but it pushes characters back. Depending on how you set it up, you can safely chain a shot through an ally without hurting them. If Liv is in a spot where being pushed wouldn’t hurt her, but the ally she’s going to switch with is in a dangerous spot, then after the switch she’ll take damage.

Another trick is to use enemy grenades. You can make Liv switch with someone standing in the blast area of an enemy grenade. She’ll take damage from the grenade at the end of the turn.

All these methods require careful planning and positioning. You need to think about where Liv is, where your team members are, and how you can use the environment and your abilities to catch Liv in a trap. It’s a challenging fight, but with these strategies, you can outsmart Liv and take down her clones.
