General Tips and Mechanics Explained for Beginners

Weapon Levels
Give you access to purchase better gun parts from Vendors. Barrels and Gas Tubes Improve DMG. Gun Stability: The lower a gun’s stability the better it is, I don’t know why its like this but the lower stability the less recoil the gun gets.
Reputation
To gain a reputation just sell junk to your vendors to gain their factions Rep.
Stealth Tips
Enemies will be less inclined to attack you if they are currently fighting something else. Move quick to capitalize on these moments.
The question mark circle that pops up is not a hostile enemy searching for you but instead that enemy’s agitation at your presence. If you don’t want to fight, back away from them or keep hiding if you don’t think they’ll find your hiding spot.
People get angry if you loot their dead friends/allies directly in front of them.
Enemies will have objectives, if you see a squad attacking a position held by the other faction, you can third-party a weakened squad after their fight is done and then loot the place before anyone else shows up
Unlocking / Hacking Doors
Enter the symbols on the top of the hacking mini-game box in the order from left to right. The symbols on top are distorted, so be careful. There is also currently a bug where only the host can successfully hack sometimes. Hit the on-screen button labeled C to clear your answer
Why Can’t I Close This Door? Sometimes when you open a door up the door breaks, this normally happens with a lot of sparks flying out of the door button.
Repairing Destroyed Weapons
(Maybe a Bug) Leave them in your rig and drag them throgh a second Raid, on extraction, they will be repaired and you can use them (Scrapyard instant Extract advised when carrying high-value weapons like AA12 or Grenade launchers)
Good Money and XP Farm
Taking Ammo and killing/looting to the scrapyard and killing/looting cyborgs on extract as long as you can and leaving can be combined with killing the Euraskans that sometimes spawn on the Map to Take their weapons and repair them (Scrapyard is particularly nice since Hunter Killers cant spawn there).
Watch Your Shots
Shooting other players in co-op will heavily reduce your scav rep, downing and/or killing another player will tank your rep to a minimum tested using an IED.
Heavy DMG
Take the AA12 but be aware that anything bigger than Exos or Tanks are Immortal + some special Enemies like the Eurasian Mech Dog, Ogramech, or Mother.
Bring a Scanner
The Tactical scanner is an extremely useful large item slot gadget. If you and your squad find yourself getting pinched or surprised by enemies when passing through areas with a lot of cover and entrances or you simply can’t find loot to save your life, bring one and try it out. It does literally give you unlimited wall hacks.

First Quest Tips
- Fields in Scorched Enclave are good for your health. It is easier to control the distance out in the open.
- Usually you hear enemies before you can see them, try to define their positions and go around.
- If they are shooting each other, they have less time to shoot at you.
- Cyborgs are a fucking broken menace, avoid fucking cyborgs.
Another tip to thin the enemy numbers is to pick a couple off while they are engaged in combat with another faction. As they’ll keep their focus on the other enemy ai and don’t focus you. Weapon silencers (they are pretty cheap) are also a great help to be a bit more stealthier.
