The Forever Winter – How to Loot Items Fast

Loot All Keyboard Shortcut

There’s a fast way to collect items in the game that isn’t explained well. Instead of using the mouse to click “Loot all” every time, you can use keyboard shortcuts.

To collect all items from a container or dropped supplies quickly:

  • Press [E] to open the loot window.
  • Then press [Tab], then [Soace] to take everything and close the window.

Other Useful Tips

  • Try using the Bag Man character. He’s not as slow as you might think, has a lot of health, and can use the biggest carrying bags to collect many items.
  • When you get a bigger carrying bag, use the tactical camera and pneumatic jump by adding them to your equipment before starting a game.
  • The pneumatic jump helps you move around the map quickly and escape dangerous situations.
  • The tactical camera is very useful. It lets you see items and enemies through walls from far away. Use them with the “Q” key and switch between them with “7”. You can change these keys in the settings menu if you want.

A good setup is using the Bag Man with “The Rack” carrying bag, which has 8 big item slots. You can use:

  • 2 slots for the tactical camera and pneumatic jump
  • SAW LMG weapon
  • 5-10 advanced medkits
  • A few hundred extra bullets

With this setup, you can often leave the game with 6 valuable items, over 30 enemy defeats, and a lot of experience points.

When you unlock higher levels and have 2000+ health points, you become very strong and can clear most of the map.

Using the “Pack Mule” carrying bag with a tactical camera is good for collecting hundreds of kilograms of equipment each game. You can use this with more characters. However, it’s usually faster to earn credits by quickly finishing a map in 4-5 minutes and leaving with 6 big items.

The first map, Scorched Enclave, is best for earning credits quickly. You can make about 100,000 credits in less than 5 minutes.

Remember to buy advanced medkits from the shop between games and accept missions at the start of each game. Some missions give good rewards, including weapons you can’t usually buy from shops.
