The game is currently set to be released early next year.

Is there multiplayer or co-op mode in The King is Watching?
No, the game is a single-player experience.
How long does a typical run last?
A typical run can last up to 40 minutes, depending on your performance and strategy. The game has two fast forward modes to make sections between enemies’ assaults to the castle faster.
Are Steam Cloud Saves implemented?
Not yet, but we plan to include them in the full version.
Can I save progress during a session and resume it later?
At this time, saving mid-session is not available.
What platforms is the game available on?
Currently, The King is Watching is only available on PC through Steam.
How do I control the Vision Area, and can I make it larger?
Move the Vision Area by holding the Left Mouse Button and rotate it by clicking the Right Mouse Button. You can expand your Vision Area through upgrades, allowing you to oversee more of the kingdom at once.
How can I check details about a building or tile?
Hold Shift and hover over any tile or building to view its specifics.
Can I play with different Kings? Do the Kings have abilities?
In the demo, only one King is available, but more will be added in the full game. The current King has a unique ability to reposition buildings by holding Shift and dragging them to new locations.
How do resources work?
The Well is your first structure, providing resources for basic buildings like Small Wheat Fields and Trees. These initial buildings have limited resources and will disappear once depleted. As you progress, you’ll unlock upgraded versions with infinite resources.
How do I obtain more buildings?
Every time you defeat a group of enemies, you may receive blueprints as rewards. The buildings appear in the selection bar under the grid and are constructible if you have the necessary resources. A number in the lower right corner of each building in the selection menu shows how many you currently have available.
How do I earn gold?
To earn gold:
- Build a Market.
- Keep the Market within the Vision Area.
- Select the product you wish to sell in the market window.
How do I manage troops?
Troops are limited by the field unit limit and barracks limit. All new units are immediately deployed on the field. To recruit additional units, first transfer some to the barracks via the King’s Army management menu to free up field space.
What if I need to demolish buildings?
If you run out of space or want to replace a building, click the Demolish Building button near the King’s image. Click on any building to delete it. To exit demolish mode, press the Right Mouse Button.
When does the demo finish?
The demo concludes after defeating the second boss, the Golden Dragon. This may take a few attempts, but between-run upgrades can help boost your progress.
How do I upgrade between runs?
After a run, you’ll obtain resources to upgrade your kingdom. Click on the building with the sword and wand icon to access the upgrade screen.
