The Matchless Kungfu – How to Master the Combat

TLDR Summary of How to Master the Combat

By Yak.

(0) Make sure you have a large world

If you don’t have a large world already, back out of Great Wilds, and generate a new 60-tile world, making sure you have the fire sect (fire tile, looks like a crown) for convenience.

You can also build your own world if you like, but it’ll be slower. If so, focus on having as many trading ships as you can. If you get asked for which sect you want, say fire sect.

(1) Double dip all your meridians in to attack

That means link from core to a single triangle 5 times, then link from that triangle back to core (6 tails should be touching core = full hex grid)

(2) Chop trees

  • 2.1) Read just past step 4 cause you can make this progressively easier
  • 2.5) If your crafting level is 0, also smash rocks until you have 20 stone
  • 2.5.1) Craft 10 begging bowls to get first crafting level

(3) Craft these, because they’re exactly the exp breakpoints:

  • 6 Lamps (24 Wood)
  • 16 Lamps (64 Wood)
  • 24 Lamps (96 Wood)
  • (Wood Dummy)
  • 40 Lamps (160 Wood)

This will mean that you’re levelling your “technique” while punching trees, but will also unlock the wood dummy to unlock

(Optional) you can train one of the future “technique” levels that only unlocks ‘in combat’ by staying in the previous level’s technique training sim.

(4) Go to every ship on the coast

And sell “crafting insight” for coins / Qi boosting items (ideally serpent ganoderma as they’re the best conversion).

Return ->2. You can loop here. If there’s a ship nearby, you can get some cheap Qi items to increase your ability to ‘double dip’ triangle meridians for more damage, for faster tree chopping.

(5) After you have 2000+ Qi, find the Fire sect, and learn Wave Palm

Congratulations, you have 2000+ Qi, and Wave Palm, and have now broken the game. Every combat encounter ends before it can start by you smacking whatever attacks you’s face. This can be done within the first few days in-game if you focus really hard.

(6) Be mad you broke the game, and actually wanna learn combat

(7) Find a tile with “thorns” on it

And level up Bone whatever body to max (6). Ideally by sleeping in the thorns

(8) Now that you have Max technique, Max resistance, and 2000 Qi for any inner-kungfu combination, and a pocket wave-palm

You can start learning the actual combat system and see if you like it or not.

(9) Figure out the combat gets kinda tedious after a while

(10) Set up a meridian inner board

That gives you 5 fire attribute for double-wave-palming things.
