Quick Guide to Cupid’s Arrow Event

Cupid’s Arrow event is the way how you can get gold blueprints and some other items (gold ship for example) for gems. Before it was limited to VIP 8+ for gold blueprint, but now any VIP level can get it.

You play it by spending gems to gain arrows, which then you can use to exchange for rewards:

Each month, there are two different blueprints: weapon/armor, and engine/peripheral. Depending which blueprint you want, you wait that it becomes available.

Also, learn how desired rewards look like, so you can recognize them, it’s very important in second stage of event:

Each day you can spend up to 25k gems (500 openings) and that includes 3 free ones.

Mathematical expectation for 1000 keys (cost of gold blueprint) is 150k gems. The event lasts 7 days, so you expect to get blueprint in 6th, or in worst case 7th day. You can’t go over 175k gems. Before starting event, make sure you have needed amount of gems.

When you will play event, each day prepare at least 25k gems before you start spending them, so you can use them quickly, without wasting time in retrieving gems from inventory.

You play it in two phases…

First Phase: Getting Needed Keys

This is the easiest phase, and usually lasts 5 days for gold blueprint, and 3 days for gold ship (600 keys is needed).

You play it just by “shooting” arrows, until you spend all of arrows available that day. You don’t want to wait for gifts to disappear, as it affects amount of arrows you get:

It’s usually done in 2-3 minutes, and expected amount of keys per day is about 170. The more you get, the better.

Second Phase: Getting Desired Rewards and The Rest of Keys

This is a bit tricky phase, as you don’t want to overspend gems, and you have to get desired rewards. Each blueprint can appear only once each day, and gold ship can appear twice.

You start it on 6th day for gold blueprint, and you want to make sure you have good amount of keys for taking blueprint. For example, ideally, you want to have about 920 keys, but 870-940 keys would work nicely too. You don’t want to need too many keys, but also, you don’t want to have too many of them, as you need to get reward you desire.

After you have keys (6th day for gold blueprint, 4th day for gold ship), you open keys till you get 3 or 4 rewards slots filled up. If there’s what you want, just quickly finish till you have needed amount of keys like in first phase.

If not, you have to wait for 10 minutes, or you can spend 100 gems per reward to remove unwanted ones:

I advise you to wait. With time and luck, desired reward will appear. Just wait for unwanted ones to disappear, and then fill them up again. In the process you will get some keys too, but you’re also spending a bit more gems for keys as opening rewards is included in gems spent.

When you do get what you want, just go and quickly get desired amount of keys. You can easily watch amount of keys you have at each moment:

I was lucky, in just 9 pulls I got gold blueprint (4500 gems) in rewards:

This is table with my cost and what I got. I used price of 200 gems per gold shard, and 75 gems per red hero ticket to measure cost of gold blueprint:
