Unnamed Space Idle – 6xCL Guide (Sector 75+ and EoC)

6x Charge Laser Build Guide

With introduction of the new Synth-Module “Void Lure” every weapon setup can theoretically achieve the fastest possible killing speed, because it is no longer necessary to kill all enemies to spawn the next wave. In extreme levels like sector 37B with module void lure activated, 6xCL killing speed is not enough anymore and will get overwhelmed. Because of those changes I prefer the 2G2C2L => 2BCL Build over 6xCL.

Right now the most common/famous build in EoC (End of Content) is the 6xCL build. The main idea is to kill enemies as fast as possible to spawn the next wave.

If you are strong enough to oneshot enemies, this build has the fastest possible killing speed due to the second highest range and fast travel speed of lasers. Only Bomb Launchers have 10 more range (before multiplicative multipliers) but considerably slower travel speed. Keep in mind, if you are not strong enough and have to reduce the range, then there are other builds which would be stronger. But if you want to stick with 6xCL this guide shows how you get the most out of it.

Weaknesses:

  • Phasing enemies when you are not overpowered enough (try Setup 3 so you might reach the needed 20x overkill damage)
  • Only 25% damage against armor

General:

  • The Synth module “Laser Boost Automator” is mandatory. With the 4 nodes “Laser Boost Cooldown” (in all setups) the Laser Boost will be activated all the time.
  • Laser 1 and 2 have the longest range because of their positioning on the Destroyer / Battle Cruiser. So it’s best to prioritize those 2 for the highest damage.
  • Setups are ordered from 1 (lowest dps) to 4 (highest dps). That doesn’t mean Setup 4 is the strongest Setup. The sweet spot is usually somewhere inbetween.

Setup 1 (Speed):

Max Range, fastest attack speed, lowest damage per shot, lowest dps.

Laser 1 and 2:

Laser 3 – 6:

Setup 2 (Range): Default

Max Range, more damage per shot, more dps.

Laser 1 and 2:

Laser 3 – 6:

Setup 3 (Push):

Mid Range, max damage per shot on laser 1&2, even more dps.

Laser 1 and 2:

Laser 3 and 4:

Laser 5 and 6:

Setup 4 (Damage):

Min Range, max damage per shot, max dps.

Laser 1 and 2:

Laser 3 – 6:

My Advice:

Start with (default) Setup 2 (Range).

If there are too many weak enemies (swarmer level) switch nodes “Big Hitter” to “Rapid Prep” (Setup 1).

If more dps is needed change range nodes to damage in the following order:

  • Just in case you changed them before: “Rapid Prep” back to “Big Hitter”
  • “Snipe” to “Weapon Power”
  • “Range Synergy” to “Weapon Power”

This way you will convert to Setup 3 and will eventually end up in Setup 4. The best possible setup for you depends on your other stats and the current sector, so playing around with it is adviced.

Not Part of 6xCL but I Add It Anyway:

For shields I recommend Bulk Shield + Deflector Shield.

Generally the idea is to have as many hitpoints on shields as possible, because the shield regeneration is percent based.

For pushing:

For staying long in a sector: reducing the regeneration delay to be sure shields have time to regenerate:

For this purpose the Deflector Shield damage trigger can be reduced, too. For pushing reduce it until it procs on the strongest enemy shots, but not on the weakest:
