Guide to Workers
Workers are your most important resource in the early stages of the game. There are many types of Workers and many ways to obtain them. Recruiting them in the Worker Camp, exploring your City Territory, and completing Staging Post quests are just a few of the ways you can obtain Workers.
Workers can help you gather resources in your City Territory, which are necessary for your development. They are also required in certain queues. It is useful to know how to assign the appropriate Workers to the corresponding queues.
Worker Quality & Specialty
First off, you got your worker quality. It’s pretty simple – there are five types, and they go from worst to best:
- Lazy Worker (D)
- Ordinary Worker (C)
- Diligent Worker (B)
- Skilled Worker (A)
- Seasoned Worker (S)
The better the worker, the faster they get stuff done.
But wait, there’s more! Each worker also has their own special skill. There are seven different types of these special skills. I don’t have the list of what each one does, but I’m guessing they make the workers even better at certain things.
The quality of the worker tells you how good they are overall, and their special skill gives them a bonus in a specific area. The higher the quality and the more their special skill matches the job, the better they’ll perform.

Assigning Workers
When workers have the same quality, those with matching specialties work better than those without. Look at the two pictures. Both are Diligent Workers, but Lorraine the Researcher cuts research time by 2m. Oman isn’t a Researcher, so he only cuts time by 50s.
Workers need to be in the right buildings for their specialty to work, except Handymen. Always check a worker’s specialty before giving them a job so they can do their best work.
Assign All
Use “Assign All” to put workers in jobs quickly. You can assign by specialty or by attribute. Specialty puts workers in jobs that match their skills first. Attributes puts workers with the best stats in jobs first.
Chiefs can choose which jobs to fill first based on what they need. They can also change “Assign All” settings so workers are assigned in the order they want.
I hope it will be useful to you in your journey!
