Visions of Mana – Fix for Stuttering (Cap FPS Guide)

Stuttering [Fixed]

If the game says it’s running smoothly but doesn’t look smooth, even when it’s showing over 100 fps with v-sync off, we can use the Nvidia Control Panel to set a better frame rate limit than the game’s built-in option. AMD users can do something similar with their software (MSI Afterburner / RivaTuner Statistics Server).

You can also use a program called Special K to limit the frame rate if you prefer that over the Nvidia Control Panel.

Here’s what to do:

In the game, turn off the frame rate limit. Keep V-sync on.

Add the game to the Nvidia Control Panel:

  • Right-click on your desktop
  • Choose “Show More Options” then “Nvidia Control Panel”
  • On the left side, click “Manage 3D settings”
  • Go to the “Program Settings” tab
  • Click “Add”
  • If you don’t see Visions of Mana, click “Browse” and find this file:
steamapps\common\VisionsofMana\VisionsofMana\Binaries\Win64 and named VisionsofMana-Win64-Shipping.exe

Set “Max Frame Rate” to match your monitor’s refresh rate.
