How to Fix Broken (Outdated) Army General Save

To solve problems with saved games, follow these steps:

Find out the version of your saved game.

• Go to this folder:
  • %USERPROFILE%\Saved Games\EugenSystems\WARNO\
• Open the save file with a text editor
• Look for “version” in the file. It might say something like “Version 125630”

After that…

• Go to your game installation folder:
  • \SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\WARNO\Data\PC
• Find the folder that matches your save file version.
• Copy everything from that version folder to the main game folder:
  • \SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\WARNO
• Start the game and check the version number in the bottom left corner.

This method should let you play your saved games even after the game updates. It helps when the developers haven’t made new versions work with old save files.
