Beginners Tips for NATO Deck
In terms of divisions to check out, try out 5th Panzer, 2nd Panzergrenadier, or 8th US Infantry for NATO divisions. Has enough of everything for you to choose what you generally want to bring.
Helpful Tips:
- Bring recon and understand how recon works (Press C while on the combat map to see what a unit can see).
- Combined arms is the way to go to win practically any battle, so try to bring units that complement each other.
- Notice the little details. Sound cues, visual cues, alerts, what the enemy is bringing, every bit of info that will provide you the intel needed to do important decisions.
- Watching how others play is also handy. Seeing how other players’ tactics play out can be quite the inspiration on how you can improve. We got a good number of streamers/youtubers out there from VulcanHDGaming, Hippie, tmanplays, SD League, Icarus, and many many more. A simple search can net you a lot of options, so feel free to check them all out.
- And well, just play games really. Don’t be afraid to lose, the experience alone will teach you your game flow. Yes, your game flow. Notice how you play and see what you are comfortable doing, or see your flaws and what to improve on.
- See what divisions fits your playstyle best. You may be a micro god but lacks knowledge on how to react if the enemy decides to push with the enemy smoking your units, or you may be a really amazing player but you played a division that you are not familiar with. So many factors tbh, but knowing what factor you can affect helps lessen the odds of losing due to things outside of your control.
General Tips:
- Its mandatory to fill in the 1pt slots first (with the exception of the arty tab, its okay to leave some unfilled), then 2pt, 3pt.
- Get at least 6 CVs.
- Don’t get too many expensive units as you are not likely to afford all of them. On war-yes.com you can see how many points your tab/deck include, you can calculate if they are enough for your game settings.
- Upvet infantry and tanks that are likely to retreat or continue fighting after getting damaged. Not much of a point to upvet anything else.
Deck Codes
How to Extract a Player’s Deck List Code from a Replay?
First, go to the following folder to find your replays:
- C:\Users(User Name)\Saved Games\EugenSystems\WARNO
If you do not see any, either disable cloud saving by unticking the checkbox at the replays section ingame or change the settings to auto save all replays (you can also do this manually at the endgame screen).
Open the .rpl3 replay with a text editor program like Notepad++, Notepad or MS Word.
Copy the 2nd line of code to another new window. If you know the player’s nick, search for it with Ctrl+F and then scroll all the way to the right till you find “PlayerDeckContent”. The following string of code after the : , will be the import code for the deck list. Remove the ” ” and you be good.
