Tips and Tricks for New Players
Trickster Tokens / Coins What Are They
Trickster is a mob that has a random chance to spawn in dungeons. This mob Requires you to spend Trickster keys to roll for a chance to get a Trickster coin or mats if you guess the right chest. Save the coins as you need them for crafting weapons and Summoning hero’s. Some hero’s and weapons can take around 10ish coins.
Echoes How to Use Them
Echoes are a must to up gear score and make you stronger but they can cost a lot of points as you only have a limited amount. At lvl 30 I think its like 300 maybe a bit less. Each echo has an icon that shows what they synergize with “I Can Not Stress This Enough” match the icons as they will have a reduced cost. You will know they match because the cost will be green. Later on you will have more points. To spend on echoes that may not match but for boss echoes you want to match as they can cost up to 300 points these are the ones you can put on weapons and have special effects.

Imbuements
Imbuements make dungeons harder and can add a fun twist to boss fights. Each one has different effects see pictures below.

Mastery Tree What Is It
The mastery tree allows you some unique perks depending on which one you choose, As for me I am going to use executioner melee mastery.
This tree will effect my sword damage because I am going to spec into the arcane Buildup Mastery which causes weapon attacks to deal up to 15% of my ability power and once its fully upgraded will send out a bolt of arcane energy that deals up to 20% of my ability power as extra dmg. These trees all do different stuff and I advise you to read them all to see what you want to go into. Please remember some of this stuff you cant refund yet so for now it may be permanent till they allow for a reroll. You unlock the mastery tree around lvl 5 ish.

Affinity Points
This tree upgrades weapon damage and gives some skills and other perks. The ones with circles you need to choose wisely as you can not reroll that part yet. The one that upgrades weapon you can max out all of them and the skills come from the circle tree. Be sure to read what tree does what as you can not re-roll the circle ones and you can only max out 2 of them.

Weapons and Drop Locations
Tooth and claw “sword and shield”: Essence dropped in the undercroft difficulty 3 or higher.
Radiant Dawn “sword and shield” Essence drops from archon commander.
Any of the fire weapons you will need to kill the world boss which is pyre of flame or what ever for his torches.
Daggers: Daggers are meant to be fast and hitting stuff none stop. Some of the daggers have Insane buffs that can help shred a boss, if running daggers I like to build crit and weapon damage with some ability power as daggers in my book do not need break.
2Handed Swords: These bad boys need no introduction they are meant to do damage and break shields. However with the exception of titans bane in which I am using no break on as it seems that its special is biased off its weapon damage and crit so that’s what I am building on mine and am shredding most stuff with its fire. The colossus is a crit and shield breaking machine and its buffs from it helps the party out with damage. Most 2 handers want to have break on them like the ax but I think crit and weapon damage is good on them also.
Guns: damage crit damge crit rinse and repeat. If you use the shotgun I would say maybe some break on it could be nice but yeh guns love damage.
Sword and shield: this one is hard for me as I do not like them but if you want to be a tank I would say damage is a must but also you want stuff that gives you resilience and defense and hp. I would focus on resilience and hp for now at lower lvls as the defense will come at higher lvls.
Stats and What Echoes Do What
Echoes help boost your gear score and will make you stronger along with the accessories. Each echo can do different stuff. An example lets say you want to use a 2 hander and want to be all up on the boss stunning him then you would want to put echoes that do break and maybe some crit so that way you can break his shield and get the stun faster. One of the best break weapons in my book is the 2 handed colossus as it excels in breaking while buffing the party with damage up.
How / When EXP for The Reward Tower Works
I’ve got some examples from my own adventures:
- Memory Frag (Sphere) = 5 exp.
- Memory Frag (Diamond) = 5 exp.
- Element Spike Ore = 5 exp.
- Small Chest = 10 exp.
- Large Chest = 25 exp.
- Pit Boss (regardless of sphere/imbuement) = 625 exp.
- Finishing “Fuel the Excavation” Event = 50 exp.
- Finishing “Normal” Events (IE: Phoenix) = 25 exp.
No EXP for:
- Killing normal mobs in dungeons.
- Opening the “chained” chests.
- Collecting Gold (Greed imbuement).
- Killing Gold Mites (Greed imbuement).
- Collecting Fallen Echos.
- Opening Godsblood chests.
- Killing Loot Goblin.
