Wayfinder – Guide to Higher Level Things and Its Limits

A basic guide on where to get some higher level things and the limits for them.

How to Get Things at Level…

Important note: General info applies to the things below it. World scaling caps at level 30 and cannot scale things higher.

Level 30

General info

• Must have a power rating of around 2,700.
• Access content that is around 2,700.
• Or have world scaling on.

Weapons

• Arsenal – levels of weapons available go up with progression of main story quest.
• Some weapons are only available in certain areas as drops.

Echoes (base level)

• Rush echoes only drop at prederminted levels and cannot be changed.

Accessories

• For crafted accessories, it is wayfinder character level plus the # of awakenings.
• The max is level 35 for crafted accessories.

Levels 32-34

General info

• Crucible open world area.

Weapons

• Arsenal – levels of weapons available go up with progression of main story quest.
• Cap is level 34.
• Some weapons are only available in certain areas as drops.

Echoes (base level)

• If you have an epic (purple) echo and it is level 30, you can add echo dust to it and get up to 5 additional levels.

Accessories

• For crafted accessories, it is wayfinder character level plus the # of awakenings.
• The max is level 35 for crafted accessories.

Levels 35-38

General info

• Crucible expeditions go to level 35.
• Mythic hunts range from level 35 – 38 depending on which ones:
  • Mythic hunt story boss – 35.
  • Mythic only hunt void boss – 38.

Weapons

• Huntmaster can offer weapons in this range for glory.

Echoes (base level)

• If you have an epic (purple) echo and it is level 30 or higher, you can add echo dust to it and get up to 5 additional levels.
• No base level 38 echoes.

Accessories

• For crafted accessories, it is wayfinder character level plus the # of awakenings.
• The max is level 35 for crafted accessories.

Level 40

General info

• Not everything can be level 40.

Weapons

• Level 38 is the highest a weapon can go.

Echoes (base level)

• Level 35 echoes that are epic (purple rarity) and been fused with echo dust to max can reach this. Level 38 echoes can go higher.

Accessories

• Crucible specific mythic hunts.

Additional notes

• Echoes that drop at level 35 can be upgraded to 40.
• Only echoes from crucible can drop lvl 35.
• So best echoes are from crucible.
• But not all of them can drop from the crucible.
• For example, there’s no dedicated shrike spawns there.
