Useful Tips (Faith, Patience and Decrees)
You will finish Blasphemy in Yellow (Chapter 2) from first try, what might helps is doing rituals where you burn 3 follower for 20-30 patience and up to 2k faith, this should even out all the patience decrease.
Do not forget the effects of this ritual!
It helps, but you’d have to wait 30 minutes between rituals, not sure it’s very effective. Especially since some rituals only give 10-15 points. Not better than having 3x specializations for your cultists at least.
I’d recommend investing in many followers (invest into Beacon Altar), transforming lots of captives into followers then sacrificing them for patience, or to create Horrors, with which you will conquer new islands. Each new Island gives you 40 patience, which is a lot.
As for the faith, if you ascend many followers, they’ll generate a lot more faith. Again, the more you have the better the faith generation is.
If you really struggle for faith, you can take the decree that gives you extra faith for each homeless person, and then just sit on many homeless people. That’s a great way to bank on faith.
Sure island conquest is a good way to earn time. Also you can use all the buildings you can and fill them “at the best” (of course including temples and cemetery). You can’t try the homelss decree because as an effect of the building strategy and the conquest strategy you will havent have no homeless peoples at the time it could be useful.
The homeless people decree is really strong. Especially if you have lots of fanaticism. At the end of the chapter I had like 200k faith and was still 3rd level fana.
If you’ve optimized your followers’ specializations, then ye, burning ritual is your go to for Patience. You just gotta find the right combinations. You can get anywhere between 10-30, depending on the order.
Another tip is to sell all buildings you don’t immediately need, like defense towers. And just build them when you are being attacked. That way you save on Upkeep (more faith). Even horror making buildings can be used only when you make horrors. They have 40 points upkeep kinda steep. You get full refunds anyway!
Carving Ritual Explained
The area the book shows is just the drawing area you don’t have to cover it completely. As long as it’s in the area, the right size and the right direction it will count no matter what you draw.
I found that this is best for consistancy:
- If it asks for a large area go from one end all the way to the other.
- If it ask something small just draw a very small line.
- For medium compare the small size and medium size and start your carving inbetween to avoid accidently making it a large carving.
Once you get a feeling you can go more creative if you want but it doesn’t need more then a single line.
