Level and star up your DPS officer (for example Ma Chao) as much as you can and use him to carry you till you can effectively star up other officers to 8*.

Do dailies and don’t be afraid to use gold on getting stuff. Just avoid spending gold on Gacha roll.

Equipment will take you really far in terms of power. I’d say investing in them and stargem will be your fastest source of additional power when ever you are stuck and can’t star up.

Also while you make the team make sure that each officer has someone who he/she can have synergy with.

When making team when you get to mid game, make sure that your whole team follows one and same theme as all others, this is called skill synergy. This game has few of these which include;

• Burn damage over time and dmg buff on butning enemies.
• Control like action and skill denial.
• Poison.
• Weakening.
• Team buff: applying shields, healing over time, buffing stats and removing debufs.
