Your Chronicle – Tips for New Players

Understanding Rank, Leveling, and Resets

Your Chronicle is a game where you don’t need to constantly watch it. As you play more, you’ll need to do less. It can be hard to understand how to get stronger and increase your rank.

Rank in Your Chronicle:

  • Rank shows your experience
  • You get rank through XP (experience points)
  • XP comes from actions and beating enemies
  • Beating enemies gives the most XP
  • Higher ranks unlock new parts of the game
  • Check your rank by tapping “Ritual”

The Dark Ritual:

  • Resets your rank to zero
  • Resets most Daily Routine gains, except Energy
  • It’s needed to progress in the game
  • It’s good to reset at ranks 3, 5, 10, 15, and 20 if your Talent is higher
  • Use the Worship Daily Routine to get more XP

Talent:

  • Talent makes you earn XP faster
  • Only use Dark Ritual if the Next Talent is higher than Current Talent
  • Use Dark Ritual every few new ranks
  • Don’t worry about using Dark Ritual
  • Higher Talent helps you get through old ranks quickly

You should reset your rank when your Talent increases.

Understanding Party and Summons

You don’t fight alone in this game. You can add summons to your party. Here’s how:

Summoning a new party creature:

  • Defeat enemies to get research points
  • When you have enough research, you can summon the creature
  • Summoned creatures are always available to use

Adding a new party creature to your party:

  • New creatures appear in the party tab
  • Press “Summon” to add them
  • You need at least 1 research point to level them up

Leveling up your party creatures:

  • “Summon” in the party tab means level up
  • Use seeds to increase Physical, Magical, and Special powers

Remember, “Summon” on a creature you already have means to level it up, not to create a new one.

Things You Might Have Missed

Routines:

  • Help regenerate magic, stamina, and destiny
  • Don’t need to be in Loop or Area actions
  • All routine gains reset to zero after a Dark Ritual, except Energy
  • Always run “Worship” with a few Habit clicks for experience

Habit:

  • You get one Habit point each time you gain a rank
  • Use all your Habit points
  • Visit Daily Routines tab to level up
  • Focusing on Energy is smart
  • Stamina increases are easy to get

Skills:

  • Learned skills show under the Party tab
  • You can use the same skill on multiple party members
  • Not all party members can use all skills
  • To use a skill, go to Party -> Main -> Skill next to member name

Shop:

  • Not just for real money purchases
  • Check the Shop to use items found in the game
  • You get free rubies as you play
  • Consider buying a small pack to support the developers

Gameplay FAQ

Should I go deeper or steer clear of the slums? (Academic City)

Like most upgrade actions, these do NOT carry over into a new reincarnation.

Deeper into slums:

  • 300 Gold max
  • 115 Destiny max
  • 1.7 (2.7 – 1) Net movement
  • Pickpocket, Grow Herb, and Appraise Mandagora actions

Steering clear of slums:

Costs 666 Goddess statues total (36 steps of 1 more goddess statue), not counting capacity filling after.

  • 2.6 (3.6 – 1) Net Movement
  • 0.1 Destiny Regen
  • 18 Goddess statue max
  • 18 Shrine Max
  • 54 Wood Statue max
  • 54 Stone Statue max
  • 18 Goddess statue max
  • 18 Statue of Muscle max
  • 18 Sea breeze Amulet max

Stats from extra statue max:

  • Goddess statue: 180 Destiny max, 0.36 destiny/s
  • Wooden Statue: 162 Destiny max, 54 xp/s
  • Stone Statue: 162 Destiny max, 0.54 stamina/s
  • Statue of Muscle: 180 Atk, 180 Def
  • Sea breeze amulet: 180 Matk, 180 Mdef

Total reward including statue stats:

  • 504 destiny max
  • 0.46 destiny/s
  • 54 xp/s
  • 0.54 stamina/s
  • 180 Atk
  • 180 Def
  • 180 Matk
  • 180 Mdef

So steering clear gets 389 more max destiny than going deeper.

When should I use crystallization / farm for equip crystals from shards?

It is best to wait until your instant action multiplier is at least 2 before hitting that button to convert the shards to crystals.

At the beginning buying all equipments from astral world will give you enough materials to level up wand to lvl 5 (or a different piece of equip) so do grind it later, when getting gold has gotten easier and you can 1 shot bosses with sharp spike.

Why do I have X resource? Why am I missing X Resource?

Why do I have X resource?

This question is usually asked in context of not being far enough into a run to acquire the resource you have, such as scrap metal.

In the majority of cases it is because you have a quest running that grants that resource as a reward every minute. (Party Tab, Quest subtab.)

In a specific minority of cases some party members generate resources and may be the source of them.

Why am I missing X resource?

This question is usually tied to needing something to progress and not remembering where it is found, or always having 0 of it even when you are doing dungeons or actions that give it.

For Looking for specific foods, check the relevant faq question that lists some of the most common foods people forget about how to acquire when they arent forced to get them anymore.

Certain Rare summons use a resource to summon them along with research, so auto summon may be consuming it. They also usually produce the same resource as well though.

Purification slime consumes Muddy Mucus passively. Check to make sure you are not automatically consuming the resource in the party tab under (Spoiler: Smith Village) Equipment. Equip auto put in will consume your resources. Crystal converter auto put in will consume your gold as well.

Use All (Post Reincarnation Spoilers)

Use all is a function that acts like pressing a button a designated number of times instantly (set in options).

Mobile users have easy access to this function, the hot key for it on PC is “A”. Pressing A while hovering over the desired action will activate it.

Spoiler is for utilizing use all in something unlocked after your first reincarnation:

You can utilize “Use All” in sloth by manually typing “a” instead of a number. It will function like the use all button/hotkey, but will do so in 0.1s total instead of 0.1s per action sloth normally does when you type a number. When you do so the sloth action name will change to reflect his, such as “Make firewood (use all)”.

I am in forest in my first run and dont have enough gold max for the chef quest

You can increase your gold max by having Orc and Drooling Monkey in your team. By getting their research and then leveling them and giving them special seeds you can further increase their effect. Together with the leather pouches from village you can thus get enough gold max to complete the quest.

I bought rubies before, but resetted my game. Are they lost now? How do I regain them?

You can go to shop-> ruby shop and then click “Item request” . This should give you your rubies back. If it does not work you can still contact Kazuma on this server via dm to get him to help you out, so you will not lose the money you invested into the game.
