ZEPHON – How to Better Observe the Area (Ground, Cliffs and Ruins)

Tips to Observe the Terrain

By Osgboy

The Guide in Four Cases

There’s 4 cases:

  1. High ground, not adjacent to cliff.
  2. High ground, adjacent to cliff.
  3. Low ground, not adjacent to cliff.
  4. Low ground, adjacent to cliff.

I’m using a hammerhead as an example because Tau has a +1 vision upgrade.

So in this case you can see all lower ground tiles within range except for those adjacent to the cliff.

And you can also see the circled red tiles because the imperial ruins that would normally block vision are on a lower elevation tile.

Kinda hard to see 1 tile elevation difference so i highlighted it in red.

And then in this case when you move up to the cliff edge you can see tiles that are adjacent to the cliff now.

When you’re on lower ground you can see the higher ground tiles.

Notice how you can see the enemy flying unit even though it’s surrounded by forests.

But then when you move up to the cliff you can only see higher tiles adjacent to the cliff.
