How to Move Demo Saves to Main Game (Linux)

Start the game once to create the needed folders.
If you’re using Steam Deck or gamescope, switch to Desktop mode.
Find this folder:
- ~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/3130330/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Roaming/SEGA/METAPHOR/Steam/[Your ID]/
Copy only the files that end with .sav
Go to this folder:
- ~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/2679460/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Roaming/SEGA/METAPHOR/Steam/[Your ID]/
Turn on Steam’s offline mode. Don’t start the game while online, or Steam will replace the files you just copied.
Start the game. Agree to transfer demo save data. After watching or skipping the opening videos, exit the game.
Go back online and try starting the game. When Steam asks about cloud saves, choose to use your local saves.

Note: If you can’t see the .local folder, open the file browser. Look for three lines or a burger-shaped button in the top right corner. Click it and select “Show Hidden Files”. This should make the .local folder visible.
