DPS Bard Info

What flavour bard would you like to be?

• Zealous bard, (Red) commonly promoted online has been nerfed, and is no longer viable.
• Elegant bard, (Purple) is the current meta choice. Most of the following will be relevant to this build in particular.
• Powerful bard, (Blue) is viable, but considerably more nuanced. Not many people play this.

What stat focus would you like to go?

Generally speaking, Bards are going to focus on one of two paths. Stacking Omni, or Stacking Cooldown. All DPS bards will likely be picking up Combo along the way.

Stacking Omni increases your overall damage, and will make PassionPlay hit like a nuke. This is good for situations like PVP, where burst damage is valuable. This also makes you, as an individual do more damage in raids.

Stacking Cooldown increases your Wild Music Uptime, and lets you cast PassionPlay more often. This is good for situations like Raiding, where team DPS is more valuable than your own DPS.

What do I focus when I have my Combo, Omni and Cooldown sorted?

(This means your Combo, Omni and Cooldown are hitting the Talent point thresholds that you are currently after).

Either Specialization nodes (Combo Damage%) or Echo effects + Resonance.

What Emblems should I run?

Common popular choices include:

• High Energy Potion (HEP)
• Intertwined Fates (Fates)
• Strive
• Sprawl
• Out of Control (OOC)
• Tribal Ode (Ode)
• Burst

Popular modifiers to look for on your Emblems, are Upper Left, Upper Rights, (UL, UR, and ULR), Emblem Levels (+1’s), and the rare mod for each emblem, that can only appear on the 4th slot. (Extremely uncommon).
