Guide to Black Shores Chests 1-41

This third guide focuses on Tethys’ Deep “Bank of Life” & “Overseas Island” & “Modulation Hall”. Read the previous guide here.

Note: This guide skips simple, exposed chests and main storyline chests that you can naturally pick up. You can find them by following the marker points. We will primarily focus on harder-to-find chests, as well as battle and puzzle-related chests.

In the location images below: Green markers represent Basic Supply Chests. Blue markers represent Standard Supply Chests or Blue Tidal Heritage. Purple markers represent Advanced Supply Chests or Purple Tidal Heritage. Orange markers represent Premium Supply Chests or Gold Tidal Heritage.

Bank of Life

Teleport to the Resonance Beacon north of Bank of Life. Head southwest toward the building. After collecting the Standard Supply Chest 4 from the corner of the stairs, climb the stone wall on the left to the top to find an Advanced Supply Chest 5.

Fly northwest. On the left side of the wooden platform below, you’ll spot a Standard Supply Chest 6.

Fly north, and then look southeast. You will find a Basic Supply Chest 7 tucked in the corner of the stone wall.

Teleport to the Resonance Beacon south of Bank of Life, then head northeast. You’ll find the Basic Supply Chest 15 on a stone pillar platform.

17-19

17-19 are guarded by Red Elite enemies. Defeat them to get 3 chests. The enemies here are three Cruisewings. When they fly up, they heal all nearby enemies. It’s recommended to bring a controller/gatherer character or Echo to prevent them from flying.

26-28

26-28 are Tactical Trial chests. Complete the trial objectives to obtain 3 Tidal Heritage.

Overseas Island

Players who have unlocked the Resonance Beacon can teleport directly here.

If not, after collecting the chests 26-28, head northeast, interact with the fish to unlock it and reach the island.

30-32

30-32 are Tactical Trial chests. Complete the trial objectives to obtain 3 Tidal Heritage.

At the marked location 33, talk to the NPC to initiate a challenge. Follow the path and complete the challenge to return to the NPC. You’ll receive a Premium Supply Chest 33.

Modulation Hall

Speak with “KU-Key” on the right to open the portal and enter Modulation Hall. You’ll immediately see a Standard Supply Chest 34.

Fly down from the rooftop to the northeast. On the stone table below, you’ll find an Advanced Supply Chest 35.

Head right. Fly down the cliff from the stone table, and you’ll spot an Advanced Supply Chest 36 on a large leaf halfway down.

37

Move to the right edge of the large leaf and look down. You’ll find a Basic Supply Chest 37 on a small platform below.

38-40

38-40 are Tactical Trial chests. Complete the trial objectives to obtain 3 Tidal Heritage.
