Guide to Black Shores Chests 1-35

In this guide, we’ll cover the first part of complete supply chest collection in the Black Shores. There are a total of 166 chests: 67 in the Black Shores Archipelago and 99 in the Tethys’ Deep. This series is divided into 6 guides, and this first guide focuses on the Black Shores Archipelago “Tethys Hub”.

Note: This guide skips simple, exposed chests and main storyline chests that you can naturally pick up. You can find them by following the marker points. We will primarily focus on harder-to-find chests, as well as battle and puzzle-related chests.

In the location images below: Green markers represent Basic Supply Chests. Blue markers represent Standard Supply Chests or Blue Tidal Heritage. Purple markers represent Advanced Supply Chests or Purple Tidal Heritage. Orange markers represent Premium Supply Chests or Gold Tidal Heritage.

Pre-Collection Preparation

• Complete the Black Shores main storyline.
• At the Tethys Hub, find the Retro Game Collector and submit cartridge to unlock Red Elite enemies.
• In Haven of Sprouts, complete Yhoran’s Tactical Trial, the prerequisite quest.

Teleport to the Resonance Beacon east of 6. Follow the arrow in the image to spot a cave entrance. Enter the cave and proceed along to find a Tidal Heritage. Defeat the enemies and collect it.

Jump down into the water and find another cave entrance. Inside, you will discover an Advanced Supply Chest 7.

Look to your right to find a cave entrance. Once inside, climb the wall ahead, and you’ll see a Standard Supply Chest 8.

10-12

10-12 feature Tactical Trial chests. Complete the trial objectives to obtain 3 Tidal Heritage.

15-17

15-17 have Red Elite enemies guarding the chests. Defeat the elites to claim 3 chests. There is a minor Resonance Beacon nearby, so you can pull the enemy toward it and use it to heal your character.

After collecting the 3 chests, look up and climb the nearby tower. At the very top, you’ll find an Advanced Supply Chest 18.

At point 27, you will find 3 Perilla at the base of a pillar. Collect all 3 to obtain a Standard Supply Chest.

Next, head up the nearby stairs to reach 28. Jump down from the location indicated by the arrow to find a Standard Supply Chest 28.

Climb the stairs to the very top, where you’ll find a glass room. Behind the piano in the glass room’s upper section is a Premium Supply Chest 30.

After collecting the Basic Supply Chest 31, turn around and you’ll see a cave entrance behind you.

Enter the cave, follow the path, and you’ll find a pile of rocks. Break the rocks to reveal a new cave entrance. Jump down, and you’ll see an Advanced Supply Chest 32.

Head left. Reach the grappling hook point below and look to your left to spot a Standard Supply Chest across the river 33.
